Pre-Requisites:

  1. Google Nexus 7 Wi-Fi/3G running on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean Firmware and Nexus 7 should be factory unlocked. (Recommended)
  2. Make backup of all your important data and charge your tablet battery full
  3. Install USB drivers on you computer for Nexus 7.
  4. Enable USB debugging mode on tablet to enable usb debugging mode Press Menu > Settings > Applications Development and check USB Debugging Mode so that you can connect Android device with computer and use Android SDK

Requirement:
Instruction Root Nexus 7 Wi-Fi/3G on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean with CF-Auto-Root:
  • Download and install Android SDK from Android Developer site on your computer. 
  • Next download CF-Auto-Root file for the Nexus 7 "CF-Auto-Root for Nexus 7 Wi-Fi" or "CF-Auto-Root for Nexus 7 3G" depending on your model on your computer and extract the downloaded CF-Auto-Root package using extracting tool like winrar,winzip or any that you prefer.
  • Now Switch off Nexus 7 and Boot Nexus tablet into Fastboot Mode by pressing and holding Volume Up, Volume Down and Power buttons

For Linux users:
  • chmod +x root-linux.sh
