Nexus 4 gain Android Marshmallow 6.0 with CyanogenMod 13 Nightly

Nexus 4 left behind as all its successor Nexus 5, 6, 7 (2013), 9 and 10 begin to gaining Android 6.0 Marshmallow support, But here is a good news for Nexus 4 mako owners the first CyanogenMod 13 nightly brings Android 6.0 Marshmallow for this android devices. As in our earlier post we have already shared to you that CyanogenMod 13 nightly is now available for few android devices. The CyanogenMod’s nightly build for Nexus 4 went live today and it comes with all features of Android Marshmallow plus CyanogenMod tweaks. But if you are looking to use CyanogenMod"s 13 Marshmallow for daily use it will be better to wait a bit longer until the ROM become more stable as this is first nightly build and may have few bugs, but if you are on cm-12.1 NIGHTLY you can dirty flash your device with CM 13 (means flash without using the option "Wipe Data / Factory Reset").

CyanogenMod 13 nightly build now bringing Marshmallow for few phones

CyanogenMod 13 or CM13 first nightly builds based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow has been announced by CyanogenMod for few selected phones and are available for download. As it is a nightly build so it is not stable as Snapshot releases and not good enough for a daily driver so if you want to update for daily driver so wait for Snapshot release channel as Nightly build are generated every day with newest features but can be unstable in most cases. CyanogenMod recommends that anyone on CM 12.1 YOG4P or CM 12.1 YOG7D releases wait for Snapshot release channel and not to go with nightlies as quality approved SNAPSHOT for CM13 my release sometime Jan according to CyanogenMod. But if you are willing to try CyanogenMod 13 downloads are available for following smart phones.

According to CyanogenMod if you are planning to checking out the nightly build of 

CM13 releases you must be aware of few limitation.

If your phone is on a 12.1 nightly build, it's recommended you can dirty flash your device with CM13 (means flash without using the option"Wipe Data/Factory Reset") you must also update your third party addons in the same pass. But if you are currently running an unofficial, third-party distribution with CM13 source code, then you must do a full wipe before switching to CyanogenMod official nightly build.
